Membership Entitlement
If you like attending any of our Special Events or if you want to support the continued success of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism in Kelowna or Canada or if you want to just support our Temple, please consider becoming a Member. Our Membership is growing and we want you to be a part of our vibrant community!
Temple Services and Facility Useage is outlined in this attached guide (see below), this is the basic mimimum, should you feel our services were of higher value, we appreciate your financial support - In Gassho
The household (a family unit wholly dependant upon the member as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency) of one who has paid full membership dues, sustaining and JSBTC Assessments as set annually at the Annual General Meeting.
The 2012 fees remain at $125.00 for single person ($250.00 for couples).
* The 2012 JSBTC Assessment is set at the April Annual General Meeting and may increase by about $5.00 to $10.00, which mean even less will go towards operation of our Temple. Voluntary contributions of more than the set fees will be greatly appreciated. Current Annual Assessment in $65 per member.
* Sustaining Fee's - BC Interior Shin Buddhist Temple Assessment in $55 per member
* Membership Fee - $5 per person - includes voting privileges
Associate Member
The 2012 fees are $65.00 per person
No voting privileges and is not a member of JSBTC or BCJSBCF.
May attend all temple functions.
If one wishes to remain a member after 2 years one must become a full member of the temple
